I have noticed a bigger gap around 12 o'clock. Other areas look normal. Is it by design or some fault?

Think about the thermal expansion, if the glass heats up slower than the case, the glass might break is being pushed away of the adhesive.

Also the Manufactory process is quite expensive to produce a die cast element with that little tolerance.
it makes totally sense to put such a safety margin here to get a more robust though a less appealing product.
Update: received another 255, no big gaps like the previous one. looks like the glass is more centered and even from all sides of bezel.
