After 18.26 update battery is draining quickly

Before my watch battery would last around 13 to 14 days before a charging cycle, now with the same usage it's lasting WAY less. Fix this for gods sake.

  • Last night, when mine was on its "sleep" face, it only dropped about 2% in ~9 hours, which I think is pretty close to normal.

Mine did lose over 10% in the first full day on 18.26 with an hour of GPS, but I also changed watchface apps when I recharged, so now I am trying again to see if that might be the real cause..

Also, I usually get around 2 weeks with bluetooth disabled. I've noticed after some updates and restarts that it seems like I have to disable it again. I'm not sure if it's really turning itself back on or if I'm just forgetting to disable it after letting the update download from the phone app.

  • The battery was 100% last night but now it's 77%!!! I didn't even do any exercises!

  • I have same problem

  • Same problem noticed on Garmin 955….charged this morning to 50% now 9% left without doing anything

  • I have had the same issue but it started a few updates ago. I lose ~22% overnight and went from lasting 10-14 days to 3 days. Factory reset, turning Bluetooth off and using default faces did not fix it. The change was very sudden and must be related to an update or memory leak.

  • my issue was solved after resetting it!  I have the feeling that it was related to a sync issue with my workouts.  My workouts were for some reason full and could upload any new ones...Not sure if that was the reason, but resetting my watch just solved it!

  • Do you mean a factory reset or a normal reset (holding the Light key). I've tried both but still have power draw. Is there a way to reset only the saved workouts?

  • I did a complete factory reset!

I believe there's nothing to clear the workouts!  I deleted them from connect.garmin app manually one by one.

After resetting, not sure if it was related to the workouts, everything is stable again!

  • By workouts do you mean recorded activities, e.g. the sensor data from past runs?

If so, you can go into the main menu (long-press UP), then History -> Options -> Delete All Activities to clear all the recordings from the watch.

They will still be in Garmin Connect Mobile or on the web, assuming they had synced in the past. It also won't affect other metrics like HRV nor totals, which can be reset with a different command in the same Options menu.
