Elevation is completely wrong!

I’ve tried following the support instructions to clean the sensors by rinsing and soaking the watch. I’ve tried manually and automatically recalibrating the sensors but still no luck.
It’s significantly out - like running a flat course and getting 20 flights of stairs! And getting flights while playing tennis.

Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

im wondering if its software issue or it is faulty hardware, i have them for almost two years

go support if sensor plays funny. you can do some testing e.g. leave watch on the desk over night to see if altitude fluctuates. or see if temperature e.g. on and off your wrist changes it. happened tome got watch replaced after approx 1.5 year of use

I reckon it's a software fault as I have had v inaccurate elevations for nearly a year now. Eg. today it says I've done 1 floor when I've actually done 12......Amazon wouldn't refund it & garmin doesn't want to know. Beginning to wander if the fenix watches are more accurate or maybe all watches have issues with elevation.

Same issue. After investigation, the elevation hickups appeared after 18.xx firmware update.

After about six/eight months after buying it it started to give problems, despite i washed it in hot water and soap as garmin suggests. I thought it was a firmware problem given the continuous updates but I sent it under warranty and they replaced it with in new watch, updated to firmware 19.18 and the altimeter for now doesn't seem to give problems.

So it was a sensor problem (probably broken). Given the countless complaints I wonder how Fenix are, if they are that delicate, and in case they are what is the point of paying such a high amount if after less than a year the sensor breaks.
