Using FR255 and have set Intensity Minutes measurement for Moderate in HR Zone 2 and Vigorous in HR Zone 3.
Generally I find that the Intensity Minutes measurement is correct based on time spent in HR Zones in the statistics for the Running workout.
However on the widget/ report for Intensity Minutes on watch and on Connect the values differ, generally a few minutes higher.
It appears that the watch continues to measure intensity minutes a few minutes after the workout ends and is stopped.
What is the watch recording as intensity minutes after the workout is stopped, is what is puzzling me.
For example Today:
Running workout started at 06:12 am and ended at 07:11:19 am. Intensity shown on workout stat is Moderate 38 min + Vigorous 9 x 2 = 18 min with total 56 Min, which corresponds to time spent in HR Zones 2 and 3 during the workout very well, though not exact.
But on the Intensity widget (and on the Reports section under activities on Garmin Express) Moderate = 42 and Vigorous = 10 x 2 = 20 giving total of 62 minutes. Further the cummulative breakup from 06:00 to 07:30 am is as follows:
6 - 6:15 = 0, 6:15 - 6:30 = 6, 6:30 - 6:45 = 25, 6:45 - 7:00 = 44, 7:00 - 7:15 = 59 and 7:15 - 7:30 = 62 Total. After which there is no further recording.
I am puzzled as to why there is a measurement of 3 minutes from 7:15 - 7:30 am, when workout is stopped and I'm just resting?
Just curious!
