Treadmill Anaerobic workouts - alternating pace targets

I'd like to perform Daily Suggested Workouts on a treadmill. Generally, I have my watch set to heart rate targets for these workouts and easily satisfy them. Since I do not have a chest strap I would like to do the anaerobic-focused runs (sprints/anaerobic/tempo) via Pace, rather than HR. I can easily change the treadmill pace to match the splits. However, the watch accelerometer does not believe that I'm meeting the prescribed paces during the workout. Post workout I'd like to readjust the paces the treadmill was programmed to in order to "Calibrate" the finished workout correctly. I only know how to calibrate the "total" distance of the run after the workout on my watch (converting distance over time to pace), rather than the splits. Is it possible to go back in and adjust the individual splits to "get credit" for doing the workout as prescribed and helping the data on my Aerobic/Anaerobic training be more accurate?
