Garmin thinks I'm sleeping when I'm not!

Over the last couple of days my Garmin thinks I'm sleeping when I'm not. But what is most frustrating is that it overwrites a good sleep score from the night before,. I had a sleep scores of 81, and it now shows 32. This is getting ridiculous!

I was relaxing and playing on my Xbox for an 1.5hrs

  • For me the 255 is nearly always spot on about the time I go to sleep and wake up, make sure to set your sleep window correctly in the settings (I think it's very important) and also to wear tight enough but not too tight. That said, if it record my sleep correctly I don't think it's very accurate in the sleeping stages and something I wish Garmin Improve.

  • I have to edit the sleep times on my FR255 most days. It's often a couple of hours out, either too early because I've fallen asleep on the sofa or too late because it thinks I was awake until 2 am.

It nearly always gives me a poor sleep score, usually the main factor is that it records me as being awake for an hour or two through the night.  It's way out.

My morning report often tells me I'm going to feel terrible. I take its advice with a big pinch of salt and go by how I feel.

How do you evaluate this ?

  • I also have a lot of wake time but I'm sure I sleep and I'm not awake that much, I think it confuse light sleep and wake time
