Why there isn’t an official ChangeLog page for each device ???

You surprise me every single day Garmin, and not in a good way !!!!!

Can someone from Garmin answer the question in the title ?

No guys, I don’t think I should browse the forum to read a ChangeLog, and read plenty of non-official comments about a firmware update !

Actually impossible to get a proper list of updates.

Are the Garmin servers limited in pages ?

or you just wanna pretend that the last updates are always the best, ignoring 50% of your users ending up in bootloop after an update ?

I am on 16.19 and totally afraid of updating to 17.26, and I cannot EVEN know if that update would be worth it !

Come on guys, be professional for once !!!

It is not really a list. The beta forum is split in two. Announcements from Garmin, and comments from beta testers. The announcements for official releases are posted in this forum, along with other comments.

So my solution to get all the changelogs is to browse that forum, open every post that look like a changelog, hoping I will give me infos, and guessing release version numbers, right ?

They have meetings at Garmin ? Brainstormings ? Are they even talking between employees ?

It has never crossed their mind to build a page for each device, where we see the device infos, but also the official release notes, etc etc ?

You know guys, like a link that we can bookmark ?

Even during my internship 20 years ago, I was working better than them.

You could probably search this forum to find the release posts more easily.
I think Garmin wants all their customers to use the latest software at all times. Information about historic software versions is obsolete.

ovekcam... IF ONLY I could use the latest software ! My device entered bootloop after updating, which I never imagined !!!!! So I factory reset and lost all my settings ! (BTW, how can the Connect App not remember ALL my settings after syncing 27 times per day ???)

Search this forum to find release posts more easily ?!? Well, I did ! And it's quite impossible to gather everything.

so if it is that easy, please reply with the "few" links showing me the official posts for releases between 16.19 and 17.26.

The simple answer is that there were no released versions between 16.19 and 17.26.

The update for 17.26 says "Changelog from 17.24 to 17.26"...

Aha. Maybe there was a buggy 17.24 for a short time, which was removed and replaced by 17.26.

That is my very point ! We have no way to officially know it, apart from guessing.

that doesn't look very professional from their side.

and them having an official release page would prevent us from wasting our time here and "spamming the forum" (as another user wrote yesterday)

Thank you all for the suggestions and discussion. We have no current plans to implement a running change log that outside of the announcements that already exist, for both beta and production, but we will take this into consideration when discussing future improvements.
