Spotify - Forerunner 255

Hello, I just purchased the 255 (not music) and I was wondering why Spotify isn't available in the Garmin Connect, Garmin IQ app? I don't need to store music on my watch, but I would like the Spotify widget on my watch instead of the Garmin music - Music control.

Have you updated to the recent firmware?

If its new and a 6 month+ old firmware it might not have it on.

Hi RDW,

Yeah I believe I have. I’ve updated it to the newest version and my watch says it’s up to date. Any other ideas of why it’s not even coming up in the Garmin IQ store? Is the 255 not compatible?

I'm pretty sure that the Spotify widget is only meant to control the music on the watch. Thus it's not available for the non music 255.

Misread, the 255 non music isnt going to work.

I believe it can still use "phone control" mode though for volume along with start/stop etc.
