Forerunner 255 Music saves running activity as multi sport

Hello,

I bought a Forerunner 255 Music a couple of days ago and went for a few runs. It appears that when the pause / resume button is pressed during a running activity the timer and distance metrics start counting again from start (while the total activity time keeps going). Also, it saves these running activities as a multi sport activity and multiple (short) running activities and shares only the multi sport activities to Strava.

What makes this occur? Is it a bug? Is there a way to convert the multi sport activity to a running activity showing all the running metrics?

I don't know how you did this, but it is not like that for me. I always get the all the running as one activity, both on Garmin and Strava, no matter how I pause and resume.
