I too have had the same problem with the Forerunner 255 (mine is the Music model) where when I set a pace alert for running it gives a default range of 30 seconds, which is not much use to anyone.
For example, I want to set a pace range of 3.45 min/km fast pace up to 4.00 min/km slow pace. However if I set the fast pace to 3.45 it automatically defaults to 4.15 slow pace. If I set the slow pace to 4.00, it defaults to 3.30 fast pace. And there does not seem to be a way to get rid of the default 30-second range.

I have used the Chat function on the Garmin website but the person (assuming it was a person...) on the other end could not fix it from their end.
Am hoping that this very irritating issue can be resolved, I did not have this problem with my previous Garmin watch.
If anyone on the forum has any bright ideas please share!
