control what's shown on a paused activity

I'm struggling to find how to configure the screen that shows up when a running (or, probably, any) activity is paused on a Forerunner 255. Right now the top scrolls through distance / time elapsed / calories burned / average pace. If I have the optical HR sensor engaged, that scroll also includes some HR specific data, so it's clearly not static. Can someone point me to the right spot in the menu tree to turn on and off different things that appear there?

I really hope it's configurable.

  • I'm pretty sure this isn't configurable.

However, you can click the back button, and show all your activity configured screens. As long as there is a red circle around the screens, the activity is paused. Click the back button again to come back to the pause menu.

  • Yeah, that's a good tip. I can make the muscle memory for two buttons instead of one. I really wish I could control it, though. I don't want to see some of the defaults and they do change, but I can only guess at what else I might be able to toggle that would have a side effect.
