FR255: Name all current bugs you are encountering - Garmin, please fix!

I am quite frustrated about the massive amount of bugs the FR255 has even in the latest firmware. since so many bugs are listed in this forum in countless threads, lets list them here so that Garmin maybe starts working on them.

- Control Music on the Phone: Pausing the music stops the phone playing, but the music screen on the watch moves on, even jumping to next songs despite the music being stopped and not playing on the phone

- Workout App: Choosing a run daily workout suggestion opens the Strength App and not the Run app. I cant start the running workout and have to go via the Run App. This makes the workout App quite useless

- Workout Animations: After about 20sec the workout animation video gets stuck, and the screen backlight stays on for unlimited time. Only pushing a button reanimates the video until 20sec later it gets stuck again

- Breadcrumb Map: The planned route and the actual course you accomplished are overlapping in an unfortunate way, which makes the map rather unusable

- Wrist HRM: Is regularly way too low, up to 20bpm lower than a *** belt measures. Makes Training Status and other data unusable.

- Intensity Minutes: For no reason the watch adds up to 200 IM per day without me doing any considerable workout or even having nowhere close this high heartrate

  • I like the way the breadcrumb map is implemented, and I don't encounter any bugs the way I use the watch.
    I do however have an issue with the Connect desktop site which logs me out multiple times per day, also logging me out of this forum.

  • Liczenie pięter. Czasami, nie pokrywa z mieszkań, można policzyć piętro. Wskaźnik wysokości również ostatnio działa słabo. Podczas dostępu do działającego efektu treningowego nie zarejestrowano żadnego wyniku beztlenowego. Wskaźnik na mapie w aplikacji po zapisaniu koloru niebieskiego (wolny bieg), a średnie tętno wynosi 150.

  • Backlight settings during an activity are not being respected. It keeps erroneously coming on even when it everything is set to off.

  • Can you ask your daughter to make a login script we can use to log back into Connect and forum without typing the username and password every time?

  • yeah saw your comment the other day.

    1) for Connect on my PC, I have the same issue as you. After a day or 2, it will log me out EVEN IF I checked the "Remember Me" box. Bugged IMO.

    2) however for the forum's, it's a little bit different. If I close my browser and come back a few hours later, it is true that fhe forum will show me as logged out. As in, the profile icon will show as below. However, if I click the profile icon, the system will automatically log me back in and show me as logged in. So that's not really an issue, since no need to re-input my loggin and password. It's still a bug obviously, but slightly less annyoing.

    (just got an email from Garmin saying my earlier post was abusive and it was removed lol)

    This forum is poorly coded and Garmin should make an effort to make it user friendly. I hope we can agree your customers deserve it.

    Using Airpods Pro and skipping songs via Spotify after 2-3 skips the connnection to the headphones gets very bad, the music is distorted. Ineed to disconnect and reconnect and it works ok again

  • Adding:

    1) Watch connects to phone despite Power Save and Flight Mode ON.

    2) Huge battery drain in only a couple of hours, also with Power Save and Flight Mode ON

    I’m having major issues with my HR sensor randomly turning off for extended periods each day.  It’ll last 2-4 hours.  It has messed with sleep scores, body battery etc.

    Also, not sure if it’s the 255s or the connect iq app, but I can’t download updates (it’s stuck) and I can’t download anything new.  I’ve restarted both the watch and my phone, uninstalled the app, etc and nothing is working.  

    I’m so sick of all these constant bugs that seem to pop up.
