But the pause time is quite an important part of interval sessions. You could not run fast without them. It makes sense to count it. 
If you transfer to Strava, it will count the pause time if you say it was a "race", but only moving time otherwise.

My watch is presenting both elapsed and moving time after an activity. You can also adjust the threshold for auto pause.
