Physio TrueUp does not work

If I record my acticity with Edge 530 AND does not wear the Forerunner 255 music, then does not count my activity to the "intensity minutes"

I had a 5 hrs intensiv bike training with zero "intensity minutes"

Recorded with Edge 530

  • Reading the garmin documentation it seems like Edge devices don't record intensity minutes unles you are using a HRM-Pro/HRM-Pro Plus strap while riding.

In my case, if wear my forerunner 255 while recording activities with my edge 540 using a HRM-Dual (which is not HRM-Pro/Pro Plus), my activity minutes are tracked. But I don't know if they're being tracked by the forerunner or the HRM-dual. I may try to go for a ride without wearing the forerunner and see.

Were you wearing any type of chest strap?

  • Hi Fengos,

yes of course I wear chest strap and on the bike are powermeter installed.

  • Ok! Well, I read again the article I linked in my previous post and the Edge 530 isn't listed there. So maybe that feature isn't available? Which seems dumb but we know how Garmin handles all their features between generations...

  • Hi Fengos,

this feature worked well a few weeks(days, months?) ago.

  • Interesting. If you compare the edge 540 vs 530 on the Garmin's website it will show that the 530 is not compatible with the intensity minutes feature. Let's see if other users can let us know their experience on this.

  • On my screenshot also are missing the "inactive minutes". This has been earlier a red line on the graphics. This is measured only by the Forerunner 255. I think the web based algorithm should be updated by Garmin.

  • Thanks this is the answer.

I had this feature earlier always with the Edge 530 after uploaded the ride to GarminConnect, Even I didnt have the Forerunner yet.

Garmin has simply "stolen" this feauture
