Unable to download Spotify on 255 Music

Hello, when trying to download Spotify to my new 255 Music, I get the error "to get the latest version of this app, you must update your Forerunner 255 Music in Garmin Express".

I have already updated it to the latest firmware version 15.19 (both via the Connect phone app and Garmin Express on PC).

How can I solve this, when the device is already fully updated? Thanks.

It's common for devices to need software updates when you purchase them. Long-hold your middle left button and scroll to System > About. If your software version is less than 17.26, you will need an update. If this is the case, it will be easiest to update the watch using a computer. If you have access, please go to Using Garmin Express to Update Your Watch's Software and follow the steps to update your device and let me know if you're still unable to download Spotify.

Hi, I have also just bought the watch and had the same issue. I have used my laptop + my phone using the Garmin express to update my watch - I get the message "You are all up to date" and this shows up as software version 13.21.

So despite doing all the can to update my watch it tell me I am up to date. I still get this message for spotify which is described in the initial post.

After about 3 hours after posting my watch did another automatic update and following this I was able to install Spotify. So no tips for others with this issue - other than not to give up hope. I might suddenly work!
