16.17 erased my 255 from my acccount and I cant reconnect it

What is wrong? How can such thing happen? 

Iupdated the watch via GE and now sitting on my trainer, wanting to send a workout to my 255 I realize it does not connect to my phone anymore. Restarting, retrying... nothing. I wanted to reestablish the watch's BT connection and now my watch is deleted from my Garmin account and it does not reconnect

I do not understand how such thig happen to a globally leading company like Garmin. what next?

  • had to uninstall connect mobile, restart mobile and watch a couple of times and then somehow at some point the watch could be connected again. It was completely gone from my account. Now I got the famous "thank you for registering your FR255" email from Garmin again... great

    Seriously: why do such things happen so often and out of nowhere?
