Watch Draining Battery

Some people have reported their watches seeming to get stuck in some high power usage state related to the bluetooth connection to the phone and the Garmin phone apps.  It might be worth trying to toggle the connection or even hard-reset the watch and see if it behaves better afterwards.

My FR255 has run from a full charge down to 29% after 12 days and about 8 hours of "all systems" GPS activities recorded in that time. But I leave the phone connection disabled except for an hour or two to sync data with the phone every week or so.

I'd agree that the factory reset option would be worth trying. I turn my phone off when I go to bed, but otherwise my watch is connected to the phone 16 hours a day. I've recorded 3 walks of around 4km each in the last week, and my 255 battery is on 52% after a full charge 6.5 days ago.

I've got similar problems in the last few days. Suddenly the battery percentage of my FR 255 dropped from 45 % down to 0 % with in 5 hours. Happend 3 times already and I dont know how to solve it.

Just got the update to 16.16 and I'm seeing terrible battery life as well.  It used 10% battery overnight while I was sleeping.

I had this issue, fully charged before bed, woke up 59%.  I did a bit of a soft reset holding the light button and seems okay so far

So is everybody who is having this problem running the 16.16 beta software?

No problems

In my experience battery go from 100% to 80% in 2 days and then it drains slowly. At least that is what i experienced. Still get around 9-10 days battery
