Can we ask that when manually adding an activity, Garmin pulls the heart rate data for that date/time/duration specified? Surely, if FitBit can pull recorded data and apply and analyze it for a manually added activity, Garmin must be able to as well.

I manually add some activities after completing them, but my heart rate data is not pulled from my watch at the time of that activity. It does not count toward active/intensity minutes and is not providing good stats as a result. This is my only complaint since switching from FitBit to Garmin. Please use the data already recorded for the specified timeframe so I can assess my progress. Other users have commented on this over the last couple of years and I’m surprised it hasn’t been fixed yet.

  • I don't think that will ever happen. Garmin logs in a different way during activities, with sensors in a different mode, and different algorithms to compute heart rate, depending on which activity you do. The way it is implemented, it would not be possible to recreate the data.

I suggest starting the relevant activity on the watch before you start exercising.
