An issue about PacePro

Hi.

I am a 255 user and ran three races, full marathons. (And I ran a half marathon once.) In the first race, I could use the PacePro function, but in the second and third races, I couldn't use it.

In the first race, I started the function even before the signal gun. Obviously, the result data included some irrelevant minutes. In the second race, I did the same thing, but just before passing the starting point, I did try to restart the PacePro function again. And It didn't work. The PacePro screen was available, but even after running for some minutes, the indicator which showed how much distance I ran didn't move at all.

So, before the third race, I did check the manual again and was sure how I should manipulate the watch. Some minutes before the gun, I did choose the menu. I mean, among several options like 42.195km at this pace, 20km at this pace and so on, I did choose the option of the marathon by clicking the start button. And, in my understanding, when I passed the starting point, I should push the start button again. But the situation was the same as the second race. Even after running some distance, the indicator didn't progress.

After the races, I tried the PacePro function a few times, and every time it did work. The only difference is, in the thrid race, there were some minutes, maybe five, between the first push of the start button (choosing the full marathon menu/option) and the second push (actual start).

So my hypothesis is, there shouldn't be such five minutes between the first push and the second one. But the manual doesn't say such a thing.

In the next race, maybe I won't have such five minutes, but I am worried that the function may not be available in the next race, either. So could you kindly give me some advice?

Best regards,
