255S Watch Face Display Glitch

I bought a brand new FR 255S Music a few days ago and noticed a problem with the watch face I chose: When the minutes change, the curved earth part of the sunrise/sunset display below the minutes digits gets corrupted. Switching to another screen using the down button and coming back to the watch face using the up button fixes the glitch (until the minute digits change again).  Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm trying to decide if I should return the watch to the store I bought it from.

No Glitch (after leaving watch face screen and returning):

Don’t know, I use another watchface.

I'm trying to decide if I should return the watch to the store I bought it from.

    Seriously? Rolling eyes
Even if there is a glitch in this watchface, it might be fixed, it’s just software.
And there are literally dozens of other watchfaces to choose from.

  • This is one of the watch faces that ships with the watch. It would be helpful if you could briefly switch to that face and see if you experience the same issue as me.  It would be comforting to know that this is a general problem with that watch face on the 255S and not a problem affecting only my watch. If it is only affecting mine, I certainly want to return the watch for a replacement that doesn't have the issue.

BTW, firmware is the latest non-beta: 14.20

  • I can't find this watchface as an option in my FR255 (not FR255S) so cannot help.

But, this kind of glitch seems obviously a software rendering bug and not something hardware specific. I don't think returning it would be useful unless you mean to get a different model instead.

  • Thanks. I like the size of the 255S, so I will just live with that glitch if it's a general problem with that face on that model.
