Amazon music playlists

Hi!

My new 255 music has some issue with Amazon music playlists.

I have installed all the stuff. I have a Amazon music prime account.

So I created a new playlist in Amazon music with about 50 songs. This one doesn't start to download to the watch.

Then I did a second one with only 10 songs. This one worked but only 4 songs got downloaded.

An old playlist worked with all the songs.

I have installed the beta software 15.09.

Is this the problem?

  • Hi, I experienced the same problem on my 955 and I'm not using beta. It seems only certain (very limited) songs can be downloaded to the watch.

A few days ago it got even worse. I can't see any of my playlists any more. I can only download the "All-Access Playlists".

I actually posted the same question separately as well but no solutions.

Maybe it only works properly for Amazon Unlimited subscribers.

  • Not sure how it works with Amazon, but I've had similar issues with downloading playlists from my Itunes account via Garmin Express. Often a good number will upload onto the watch, but not all of the songs on a playlist. I've discovered if you log off and log back on to garmin express then try again, more songs will upload. I pretty much continue doing this until they are all on. It's a pain, but eventually I get them on. More than anything else it discourages me from creating new playlists because I have to go through this tedious task all over again. It's especially a pain when I have to delete songs off the watch to make room for new ones. Not sure if this applies to what's going on with your Amazon playlists, but if it is, the issue is likely ton the Garmin Express end.

  • Thanks for the suggestion Scheddar. I tried logging out of my Amazon account on the watch. Also tried uninstalling the Amazon Music app from the watch and resinstalling. Sadly both didn't work.

I wonder if the issue is on the Garmin end or the Amazon end. Or if this limitation is intended...
