Steps bug

I woke up this morning with ~7800 steps, the amount of steps I had yesterday. The counter did not reset at midnight, I lost 120+ days steps streak and now I have discrepancies in my step data...

The watch stoped syncing at 7pm local time even though the phone was always near by and I was in WiFi range. The phone sync (at least iOS) is broken for some time now and while it's extremely frustrating it's possible to force to sync one way or another so I can look past this issue.

The step counter issue on other hand its totally ridiculous. Given moving data is collected and timestamped, how is it that synchronisation process does not perform data integrity checks?
