Aerobic vs anaerobic exercise

Could someone explain how the watch is capable of telling if my exercise session is aerobic vs anaerobic ?

What is the watch looking at exactly ?

For example, for a 45 minutes rowing machine session where I brought my heart at an average 140, the watch has given me a score of 4.6 in aerobic, and... zero in anaerobic. With a HR of 140 during the session, I would have thought I would get some anaerobic benefit too ?

Thank you.
