Acitivity Alerts never work on a scheduled workout. Just regular/free run. Why???

Hello,

When I run a scheduled workout the activity alerts (hydratation, supplementation, etc) are never shown as they are shown in a regular non scheduled workut.
I can choose and combine scheduled workout with courses from Navigation option having navigation alerts, too.
However, when I choose to run a scheduled workout the only alert I have is the Lap Alert.
My alerts for hydratation, carbo, or any other supplementation during activity are all set to different distances and time during activity.
They are on and repeating every set distance and/or time and being shown correctly, as I wrote above, during a casual/free/regular run.
Not during scheduled workout.

Why that, Garmin?
Can't I be remembered to hydrate, or having my supplementation while I'm training a scheduled workout?

P.S. The same happens on 245 (which I had previously).

  • Hi. Log it here also.

    https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

Same with Segment alerts , not sure why I can't choose to have those in a workout also.. I mean there is an on off toggle in the activity so why not let it work when in a workout!

  • I'll do it. Thank you.
But sincerely I feel like throwing the idea on the wind logging into "Have an idea?".
There's no feedback about the idea. I know this is part of the Terms of Use.
I mean, I don't worry if it will be or not accepted, implemented or what.
However an e-mail (not automatic reply) giving a quick feedback, it would be appreciate.
I believe Garmin must receive tons of ideas, but even so...
    Don't you agree?

  • Yes ..100% I suggested a simple thing like being able to sort Gear and add comments to Gear...probably over a year ago. Sometimes the simple things seem to take the longest. I mean surely one should be able to sort gear by mileage , name or what ever other metric and write comments / notes on the gear for future use.

  • I sent suggestion to improve translation in my language for a better an immediate comprehension (because it's what we need when we are running and trying to read the watch). Just changing two words in the data fields of activities. My suggestion is for a shorter and more used two words in day by day activities. Just that.

  • I tried first contacting chat. After a long conversation which was pointing to nowhere until the lady understands exactly what I was asking, because she understood I was talking about target alerts (Pace, heart beat, etc). She said I want too much alerts.

When she understood the type of alert I was talking about and I asked again the question of this thread, she gave the answer that I never thought I could have from Garmin chat support.
    Me: Why?
She: I don't know why. That's by design.
    At the end she suggested me to send my suggestion to "ideas", just like you did previously, S.M.R;

I'm so disappointed with that Garmin Support.
