Treadmill pace gets progressively worse (faster) after 14.13

Zone 1 recovery run on the treadmill.  I set the speed on treadmill to 12 min/mile and never used my 255 hand to hold the rail or even wipe sweat from my forehead - just kept an even pace on this easy effort.  First mile was pretty accurate at 12:12 and then each mile got progressively worse (faster).  Mile 2 - 10:52, Mile 3 - 9:32, Mile 4 - 8:51, Mile 5 8:37.  My HR stayed between 122 and 128 (Zone 1).  No way am I able to run 8:37/mile at 122bpm.

  • How was the cadence graph? If it changes during the run, the estimated pace will usually also change.
The more you run outdoors with GPS, the more accurate the indoor pace estimates will be.

  • Cadence ranged from 158-180 and i would have expected it to stay under 160.  I've also used it outdoors for 1700+ miles with multi-band.  After 14.13 is when it started acting strange.  Not the end of the world since 99% of my runs are outdoors.
