I've been used Forerunner 255 since last June. I often use this watch but hadn't seen this issue until yesterday.
Yesterday, after running around 1km, performance condition appeared on the watch. Usually it disappears after some seconds, but yesterday it kept showing the performance condition. I pushed some buttons, but nothing happened. It looked as if the watch were freezed. But it wasn't freezed because when I long-pushed the left-up button, the watch asked me whether I should turn it down. After runnning around 1km, somehow performance conditions disappeared and I was able to run as usual.
This morning, the same thing happened. I had forgotten what happened yesterday. The situation was same. All the buttons, excluding the right-bottom one, didn't work. Why I didn't try the right-bottom one is I do not want to have a strange lap distance.
The difference between yesterday and today is this performance conditions didn't disappear at all. But I do know the watch wasn't freezed because I saw the time at every 1km. Today, when I finished running, I long-pushed the right-up button but was not able to see any change. (What I expected is to stop the running.) But I was able to reboot the watch by the left-up button, and everything was ok after that.
If this performance conditions keeps showing its screen, I cannot confirm my pace, for example, which was really irritating.
I use this watch so often that my running distance per month is around 170km. But yesterday was the first time for this issue. Do you have any solution for me? It seems I could just disable this function, but when I googled this solution, maybe the explanation was old and I was not able to reach the necessary setting.
