All,
Thank you for your patience. This should have been resolved in SW 14.17. If you still experience this after successfully updating, please start a new thread.
so use google translate. you already using it to translate posts from others, don't you?
english isn't my mother language also. but i respect the community here.
If it was a polish forum, or whatever…
Just installed 14.15, and despite a promising "Fixes issues with starting and stopping activities" in the changelog, the watch still disconnects after starting an activity I'm sooooo disappointed…
I think the majority of users will see your comments as unreadable, and just ignore your posts.
I've called the Garmin tech support today and the response was "it's rather software problem, not a hardware. We'll let you know when it's fixed".
I don't know if it's related but I'm also not able to change settings from a Garmin connect.
Scenario:
1. Watch is in "home screen", connection works fine (notifications come from the phone to a the watch)
2. Garmin Connect -> Watch -> Activities & Apps -> run
3. Error in "Garmin Connect" ("Unable to update settings"), watch disconnects.
Anyone having the same problem?
that's exactly the problem, after you try to change the activity settings the phone starts disconnecting the bluetooth, so you need to force kill the garmin. connect app and sometimes put the watch in airplane mode , wait few minutes than start reconnecting phone and watch
I see two distinct problems here (or at least two ways to trigger the same problem):
1. Watch: go to starting activity screen -> connection with phone drops
2. Phone: Garmin Connect -> Watch -> Activities & Apps -> run -> connection with phone drops
Omg. Garmin, what is this? Can I just get the original software back?
Guys we need to start giving our watches back. Just to let them know we are serious!
Kevin, shame on you and your developer team for letting us stay in the dark with this crucial software bug!
