Garmin coach and other workouts

Hi everyone,

I would like to use the coach to prepare a half marathon but on top my personal preparation I have a weekly group 8-10k easy run and some 10k races (what means a total of 4 runs a week)

I would like to make it count and avoid injuries by doing "double" training but I have no idea how...

How do you manage it ?

  • On Garmin Connect, under calendar you can reschedule Garmin Coach runs, so you can reschedule an easy run to to coincide with your weekly group run?

    If the Garmin Coach run is shorter than your weekly group run/race, you just let the activity continue recording once it says workout completed.

  • I'm not sure which one you are using, computer or app, however computer version of Garmin Connect you have more options of distances and levels and they are editable. I'm using advanced Marathon nowadays and made some editions in trainings. I'm enjoying a lot.
