Suitable Backup Watch

I have a 255 that needs to be sent back to Garmin for a repair. I’d not like to be without a watch for runs for the probable 2 weeks it will take to get back to me.

Looking locally used, I’m seeing a lot of 310xt watches for cheap. Y’all think these are still useable today?

Are you in the USA. They will send the exchange unit first with a deposit hold

Have you called Garmin Support? I think some people have had an option of paying a deposit and getting a replacement unit first, before sending in the unit needing repair. Probably depends on where you live.

I have a 12-years old 310XT, which I use for this exact purpose - as a backup device in case my primary watch is out of order. Works like a charm.
