So after a couple of months of use, my Forerunner 255 failed and I was sent a replacement from Garmin. Upon setting up the new watch and syncing to Garmin Connect, the watch is unable to produce an HRV status because a baseline has not been established. I had been using other 255 for months with HRV determined after 3 weeks, but suddenly when I get the new watch, it is unable to integrate the HRV data from the old watch and Garmin Connect into the new watch.
My question is this: if all the other metrics can be seamlessly integrated when I change watches (i.e. Stress, Training Status, Sleep etc...), why can't HRV status do the same? Why can't the watch take the data collected from months of use with the other watch and give me an HRV status? Why is it starting over and making me complete 3 weeks of usage before establishing a baseline?
