Red exclamation mark when scrolling through glances - bug in 12.23?

Hi everyone,

I've noticed that a few glances have red exclamation marks when scrolling through them (please refer to the pictures attached). When I choose to edit the glances (scrolling through them to the very bottom), the exclamation mark also appears. Affected glances are: weather, notifications, calendar and selecting to edit the glances.

I've noticed that bug on the new firmware 12.23, and I'm sure it was not present on 11.12.

Did anybody also notice or can explain that? I assume that it is a new firmware bug.

    Is it maybe because the connection to the Connect app is not active . i.e. the app may be closed or THE BT connection not active

    It seems like all these items would not be up to date if that was the case and this may be a warning about that.

    YEs that is what it is , I just repeated the action by closing my GC App. Keep the GC App open.

    You're right - connecting watch with the phone makes the exclamation marks go away. Usually I'm syncing the watch every day at the morning and after that I'm turning Bluetooth off to save battery - maybe it's the sign I should have a constant connection with the phone?

    Still the question is why the exclamation mark appears when selecting the glances edit option (at the very bottom of glances list)? There the explanation you provided seems not reasonable (since there is no point to have connection to phone when changing glances). Also, I'm pretty sure that on the previous firmware the exclamation mark appeared only after some time without syncing, not immediately after disconnecting from phone (can anybody conform that observation?).

    I don't recall it on 11.xx but at that stage we were looking at so many other issues I may have missed it .

     It's actually a good idea come to think of it. I only recall seeing it ion pressing the glance to the detail page (eg on the weather)

    I've seen the red exclamation mark too. It was because the watch weather had not been updated through the phone.

    Considering all of the above, I'd kindly request to confirm that this exclamation mark is intended to represent the lack of connection to the phone, and it should appear even if it has just been synced with the phone (still, my impression is that it should appear only after some time without syncing).

    Moreover, please add to the 12.23 firmware bug list the appearance of the exclamation mark for the glances edit option, as it's an evident bug.

    I  think it is by the edit function so that if you intend to add a widget via the watch it informs you that the phone is not connected...quite useful actually as the widget won't function correctly when added.

    Having the red mark by messages (as example) should be immediate as it indicates one would not get new messages (or messages are not getting updated) and that would happen immediately after a connection is disconnected.

    Personally I think the implementation is  good

    I see your point on the indicator for edit functionality. However, since not every widget requires syncing with the phone (e.g. ABC widget or HR monitor) I think it's rather confusing than helpful.
