Altimeter/barometer accuracy

I has a problem with the Garmin FR255 altimeter/barometer sensor. what I experienced, the sensor showed an minimum altitude of -4M, when in fact there was an altitude of 5M. I've tried to do manual calibration, but the problem still repeats.

same here, back to start with ascent 26m, descent 31m, impossible.

Barometric altimeter uses air pressure to determine altitude. Hence any fluctuations in air pressure affect the altitude reading. Air pressure is weather time and place dependent, so the difference of 5 - 10 meters is actually within the margin of error.

If precise altitude is important to you, calibrate it manually prior to any activity for best results.

I've done manual calibration before starting the workout. but the result is still not accurate as expected
