Anyone else prefer the old widget style as on the 245, over the glances?

My FR245 finally gave up the ghost recently, so I ordered a FR255 as replacement.

On the 245 I could turn glances off and go back to the original widget style, which I much prefer, especially the “My Day” widget, all I need to see in one screen, no scrolling.

Appears you can’t turn off glances on the 255?

Anyone else here prefer the old style to the glances?

Thanks all,

Andy.

  • Definitely. Much preferred the old style widgets. What makes the glances worse is that the font is so small that they are impossible for me to read.

  • It’s ironic. You buy a watch with a bigger screen because you’re getting older and your eyesight is deteriorating. You think that bigger screen equals better legibility but it’s actually harder to read. Not just the glances but other places as well.

  • Same here. Was disappointed to see that glances is the only widget option on my new 255. Hopefully a firmware update will bring back the original widget style.

    nope

when the option to use glances was introduced activated them and never looked back

no option now to choose because as far as I know the widget concept is no more ... RIP

open a glance to make it bigger Slight smile

    happy & safe sporting

  • Nice in theory but unfortunately when you open a glance the text is still extremely small and I can't read it. I could read the widgets on my 645.
