Activity for push ups?

Is there an activity for recording push ups on the Forerunner 255? I can't seem to find one that matches push up.

  • Hiit, Strength, Cardio.   you can find push ups as exercise there

  • You can use the Strength activity: it recognizes push-ups automatically and even counts how many you do (you have to have rep counting on in the strength activity options).
In the free workout (the default one), after each set, you can press the back button to end the set and correct the number of repetitions of push-ups you did if it got it wrong.
I also reccomend to set "edit weights" to off in the strength activity options if you are doing only push-ups or bodyweight excercises, otherwise it will ask you what weight you used every time you end a set.

Another option would be to use the hiit activity because it can be used to create hiit timers like emom (you do a number of push-ups every minute for some time you decide), which can be useful and I think the strength activity can't do that.

But I don't know if the hiit activity will recognize the push-ups automatically and if it will show you the muscles you used the most, because I personally only use the strength activity, and i manually start/stop sets using the activity timer as reference.

  • Thank you for your replies!

I can't find anything called push ups but do you mean that I should choose  for example strength and do my push ups, and then it will be recognised as push ups? I tried that and it shows up as push ups. Magic.
