255 pool swim lap issue

Hi - I just received my 255 yesterday and brought it out for a swim at the pool today.

I realised that even after setting the correct pool length (50m) the watch is not capturing my 50m lap splits and distance like my previous 920XT does. My prev 920XT would record the splits each 50m when in pool swim mode (as long as it was set to the correct pool length) and add up the total swim distance for the day.

I swam roughly 5000m over 1hr 20 mins (mix of different distance intervals) but at the end of the day my distance still shows 0m. After each interval that I swam the watch did not record the distance of the swim.

My accelerometer seems to be working ok (walking steps are still being calculated) so dont think that is the issue.

Wondering if anyone else faced the same issue and if there is a software bug in the 11.12 release of the firmware w.r.t the pool swim function that needs to be fixed?

You can see that every 5s the watch automatically goes into rest mode when the pool swim profile is used.

Thats why all I was recording during my swim is rest and not the actual swim feature hence no lap speed/distance were recorded.

So basically it cant stay in pool interval/lap mode for more than 5s and it's as if the lap button was automatically pushed every 5s after I start my interval.

Ended up with stats on garmin connect that looked like this (all rest and no interval :) )

Try turning off the automatic test setting. You can control it manually if you rest. Similar issue with me, but only records lap about 60% of the time
