HRV Status reading too high? ( > 100 ms)

From what I know, the value is higher the better, but I don't think the value is accurate for me, because I'm not particular fit and I'm underweight (173cm, 61kg), my resting heart rate is like 40,41.

I saw DC Rainmaker's HRV Status is like only 50 ms, so I am very sceptical about the reading.

  • HRV is woefully inaccurate, so just ignore it

If you want useful and actionable HRV use a chestbelt with an app such as HRV4Training or EliteHRV

  • HRV differs among individuals. The important thing is the change from your baseline. Garmin has identified your normal baseline between 97-111. If your HRV falls outside this baseline, then something is probably not right. To test this, pay attention to your HRV after you do a hard, long run (2hrs or so). It will likely be lower. Also, if you eat salty food (or a lot of food) before bed, it will likely be lower.
