Lap button does not work during the last step of the workout

If the last step of the workout is set to "Lap button press", pressing the lap button at the end of the workout will create a new lap, but the workout will not end. In the other steps of workout except the last one the lap button work correctly and goes to next step. When the last step of the workout is set to a time or distance, the workout ends correctly.

Firmware version: 11.12

I’m also having this issue on my Forerunner 955. I have to end the workout manually.

Did you ever find a solution? I just moved from the FR220 to the 255 and this has been an issue with all my programmed workouts so far on the new watch. I had no issues with the decade old watch.

After today's update to version 13.21, the problem still persists.

My workaround: I add a short time step (about 5 seconds) at the end of the workout.

Why don't you just press "Start/stop" at the end of workout, instead of "lap"?

That was my thought too. I would not want the workout to end when pressing "lap". Sounds more like a feature than a bug to me.

start/stop ends the activity, lap only ends the workout, but the activity continues
