Track session and incorrect pace reading.

Did a track session and used track mode on FR255. Ran in lane 8 but watch was set to lane 1. I believe the results of each mile pace is wrong. Could running in lane 8 and have watch set to lane 1 cause pace to be recorded incorrectly?

  • Yes, you ran a greater distance on each lap than if you’d run in lane 1.

  • I have had this problem recently as well. It needs to go by gps and be in stopwatch setting if you are varying between lanes1 &8 to be most accurate I believe and you manually hit the lap button for your working distances. The track setting appears to only be customizable to 1 lane and works off of that for the whole time. Im researching on creating an "other" field for my track work to be most accurate bc its not reasonable to run in lane 1 the whole time and is throwing the true distance off. I was .5-.75 mile short the other day considering my warmup and cooldown in lane 8
