Training Load from Zwift

Does anyone know if the FR255 is compatible with the feature that enables virtual rides such as on Zwift to contribute to Training Load, recovery time, status etc

Did a ride this evening and synced ok but overall activity stats don't include the ride. Be disappointing for a watch marketed as entry level multisport that didn't support this feature when I believe the 245 does?

  • I always dual record as Zwift misses a lot of stuff that recording natively provides.

I though the Zwift feature was watch independent as load etc is calculated when the ride if pushed to GC?

I do use Zwift, but don't sync to GC to confirm one way or another.

  • Many thanks for your help. I'll try this next time I use the trainer.

Does Bluetooth support connecting my trainer to my laptop and watch at the same time or would it only support 1? I'm sure I've connected to both but may have to use ant+ for one and BT for the other

  • That would depend if your trainer supports multiple BT channels. Most don't.

I would suggest using ANT personally assuming you have an ANT dongle for Zwift as this is an inherantly multipoint protocol.

  • Managed to sort this now, watch connects to trainer and HR via Ant+ and laptop connects via Bluetooth so can record activity on both devices simultaneously. Removed zwift uploading to Garmin so just get one activity. Doesn't record elevation but can add that in manually.

Only problem is now that cycling has totally messed up my suggested workouts for running.
