Virtual Partner on 255 Series not showing time ahead or behind

Hi,

Virtual partner data screen only shows with arrows if I am ahead or behind but the time stays on zero. Please see the pic attached. Anyone has experienced the same / knows the cure? I saw identical complaints on Facebook about this.

  • Same for me. Did report to Garmin, sent them a video as “evidence“. This was 2 weeks ago, have not heard anything from them since…

  • I just got the FR255 this week, and encountered similar issue. I do not got those arrows, however, the time ahead/behind stays at 0:00 throughout the workout. I chatted with support and sent/uploaded screen caps and my Garmin file folder to investigate it. Awaiting their feedback. 

  • Well, got this response "The developers are working on fixing this issue, they've told us that the issue is software related and exchanging the device won't fix the issue. We'll notify you when an update is available that will solve this issue."

    So, at least they acknowledge it is a problem, and software related.

    BTW, my device is FR245 Music, did not notice this thread was about FR255, but perhaps does not matter if this piece of software is same in both. 

  • Thanks. There is a new software, 11.12 available but I have not dared to install it yet fearing it may screw well working features up:)

    I see that we do have other reports of this, so I will be sure to update this thread when we have any new information become available.  If you would like to be added as an affected user (which may help us to resolve our reports sooner), please answer the following and I will email you for some additional information:

    1. May we, if necessary, have permission to email you?
    2. May we, if necessary, have permission to view/access your Garmin Connect account?

    We have released a fix in the latest software release that should resolve the report for most users experiencing these symptoms.  The software release should continue rolling out to all users in the coming days.  If you are still experiencing symptoms like the original report here, please start a new thread.
