Do we know when 255 will be available for purchase ?

When will we be able to purchase ? I just picked up the 745 wondering if it’s worth returning and getting the 255

    Yeah, available in US ships 3-5 weeks, not available in Canada yet.

    You may want to check some local running stores. Despite the fact that online places (like Amazon) are showing out of stock, I found two local running stores that had a few 255 watches in stock.

    I did at MEC arriving today :) returning the 745 also from MEC should be no problem returning hopefully less then 2 weeks

    • For anyone wanting to compare the 745 of 43.8mmto the 41mm 255s music

      Strap size:

      22mm on the745 & 18mm on the 255s My wrist size is 6.25" or~160mm

      My recommendation if your wrist is any larger then 6.5" or 165mm you may want consider something larger.

      The 43.8mm 745 is really nice almost perfect size for me, but between stepping up to FR255 45.6mm or down to FRs 41mm, I chose down.

      Coming from a analog watch collector i was most worried about the 18mm strap as I can not pull it off with metal bracelets, 20mm minimum however this works for me.

      Note: I had just purchased the 745 less then 2 weeks ago and this was released 2 days after my 745 purchase. So 745 is going back. Again if your wrist is any larger then 6.5" the forerunner 255 is a no brainer.

    Thanks for this very helpful. My wrist is 180mm, not fat I'm just tall 6'4" and the 745 was absolutely perfect for me. The 245 a little too small, especially the 20mm strap and the 945 too big.

    The 945LTE at 44.4mm is better but I noticed it was quite thick, 0.4mm thicker than the 745 and the 955 is 0.5mm thicker than even the 945LTE. 

    So for me the 255s is way too small and the 255/955 are too big.

    Size matters ;) assuming the red is the 245 it looks perfect to me, so does the 745, I have been with the 255s for full day now and I’m liking it! Your mind gets used to it after a day or so, 

    something else to note if I was wearing it just for exercise I’d go with a 45mm + size but sleep and daily wear smaller is easier to live with. 

    the 18mm lugs are small ! 
    Also buy where you can exchange hassle free !
