Audio prompts for plan workout steps

Hello,

Im considering upgrading my FR235. Does anyone know if the coach function has audio prompts during a workout?

Specifically, since I think it's hard to read the screen while running, I'm interested in getting voice prompts when

entering a new step of a structured running workout, telling me what the next step is.

    do these audioprompts actually work only with Garmin precreated workouts or also with own, custom made ones? 

    Could you please try it with a custom rowing workout and let me know if the audio prompts for the workout instructions actually work? thanks a lot!

    My cycling workout I show above is an example is custom created with Final Surge. Its not a Garmin workout 

    I do not know much about rowing - which of the below is most appropriate?

    custom, just put some repeats there, then sent to device, and you will find it under the indoor rowing app in the workout list! thank you

    OK...so it looks like I can't get a speed alert and seem not to be able to add Power target to a Custom workout  but HR alerts work for rowing work fine

    thank you a lot! so the voice actually reads the targets you have defined in the app, right? 

    Could you try to set a cadence target of 22-26 spm? is it being called by the audio prompt?

    OK..so from what I can see (hear!!) unlike cycling or running. rowing DOES NOT read out the workout step targets, so HR is just current HR. not target HR

    No voice for cadence (watch only has alerts for pace, power or HR)

    I think the problem is having to create a Custom workout for rowing, whereas biking and running have specific workouts so the targets are announced.

    You see step targets on the display, but no step targets are heard.

    I have been messing more with this...

    if I create a Rowing workout as Bike and execute as Indoor bike voice workout step alerts work...

    but if the same workout is created as a Custom workout and executed as Rowing, no step alerts - and this happens on my Fenix 6 Pro too.

    very helpful, thanks, that could be a workaround, although data like strokes strokerate etc are missing then. and mostly for workouts anyway info about upcoming strokerates is the nost important input and obviously this the watch does not do anyway.

    I will try to lobby for more rowing support. thx a lot
