Why does running cadence appear jagged in one device and linear in another ?

look at the photo (two different devices)

First FR245 carries a jagged cadence

Second FR245 carries a linear cadence

  • I would guess that one of the activities has cadence comming from the watch itself, and the other has cadence comming from an external sensor, like for example a footpod or RD pod.

  • I have an external foot pod which I sometimes use and sometimes don’t (I don’t always swap it between shoes), but with or without, my cadence always looks like the bottom one. Maybe it’s a software version difference on watch or viewing platform?

  • I understood the differences in the graphs:

    they use different scales!

The first graph contains steps between 175 - 185 pam in 2 centimeters
The second graph contains steps between 150 - 200 pam in 2 centimetres

the first is as if it were zoomed.
