Can't Sync Spotify on Garmin 245 Music

I posted this on Reddit, I'm going to post it on here, maybe someone can help. I've looked at all of these forum posts and nothing helps.

My spotify won't sync to my 245 music anymore, and it's driving me absolutely crazy. I have no idea how to fix this, I've tried everything under the sun and nothing will work. Spent about 10 hours on this so far and I can't progress at all. My watch will get to about 93% synced with spotify, and then say "Some files could not download. Try again to complete." I've looked at the following threads and tried everything they have tried, and none of it works.

Tried the phone hotspot

Followed instructions on garmin.com

Removed garmin authorization from spotify account

Tried all that stuff, kept googling other solutions and it won't work. So I said, okay let me just try a straight reset of everything, let's forget this watch even existed and maybe I can get it to work. So I did the following:

  1. Went to spotify and removed garmin authorization

  2. Factory reset my Garmin, I deleted everything on there. All data, full factory reset.

  3. Went into Garmin Connect and Garmin Connect IQ on my phone and deleted any references to a Garmin 245 in there.

  4. Deleted Connect and ConnectIQ apps from my phone

  5. Went online to Garmin connect online (cloud/web browser) and deleted 245 music from the top right corner

  6. Went into iphone bluetooth settings and clicked "Forget This device" for the 245

  7. I tried searching for any sort of data or metadata I could further remove from my phone, the cloud, my computer, and I sincerely can't find anything else to remove.

Okay so then I reinstalled everything from scratch, it's basically a brand new watch at this point, and there was really no previous reference to my 245 on installation anywhere. After all of settings were configured, everything downloaded, authorized, there was no way this wouldn't work now right? Then I tried syncing a spotify playlist again and.... yeah it still gets hung up and says "Some files could not download. Try again to complete."

I am so frustrated and have no idea what to do. I don't even know if the problem is Spotify, the watch, or Garmin Cloud. Truly no idea. If anyone has any idea of something that I haven't tried, please let me know. Otherwise, I think I'm going to give this watch away and buy a different brand or something.
