Software Update

Sync via a computer. You’ll need Garmin connect or with the app. 

I did that already, and like I said before, it's says I'm up to date but only has me on version 5.00, not 5.30.  How can I get the new update?  Thanks.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I have no idea what that is or means. My watch says software version 5.00 (fe61f5b) and says it's up to date.

There are two versions. APAC (Asia-Pacific) and ROW (rest of world). The APAC version is usually behind on FW releases. 

Thanks. I would assume ROW because I live in America.  Any other reason that I wouldn't receive the update?  Should I contact Garmin directly?

Delete your activities from the watch and try again. Maybe you don't have space left for this update. 

not necessarily. if you bought it directly from garmin usa, then yes. if you bought it from amazon, sometimes, you'll get an apac version. you can tell by looking at the productl #. if it ends by 00 then it is american if i recall. if it ends by 16, it is asia. look on the garmin site for the product #.

As Pierrotsc pointed out, if purchased on Amazon or the Ebay Store it depends on the actual seller. For example, you can purchase from Amazon or through Amazon.  It happens more frequently than you'd expect.
