not necessarily. if you bought it directly from garmin usa, then yes. if you bought it from amazon, sometimes, you'll get an apac version. you can tell by looking at the productl #. if it ends by 00 then it is american if i recall. if it ends by 16, it is asia. look on the garmin site for the product #.
As Pierrotsc pointed out, if purchased on Amazon or the Ebay Store it depends on the actual seller. For example, you can purchase from Amazon or through Amazon. It happens more frequently than you'd expect.
