Unable to do bluetooth sync after 5.0 update

After 5.0 update bluetooth sync stopped working.

I also unpaired and paired forerunner with my android device, but it didn't help.

Now I need to use PC Garmin Express to sync stats, but it's inconvenience.

My 245M also stopped syncing with the connect app. The wifi syncing also gives an error when I try to use that.

I have an Android phone, and tried restarting both the watch and phone. Nothing worked.

I just managed to get sync working.

Previously I unpaired watch from the phone.

Now I removed watch using Garmin connect app.

After reconnect, Bluetooth sync started to work again.

I finally got it back to work. I think the trick was to delete the Garmin Connect App and delete all the Bluetooth cache from the telephone. By doing that I was able to connect the Garmin to the phone again and receive the 6 digit number to pair the device.

Delete your bluetooth cache from your phone. Solved the problem for me and was able to reconnect the device with my phone and pair.
