Just to add to the choir here: My cadence field on the run screen on the watch stopped working with the 7.20 firmware update, and I'm having the same pace dropouts as reported by others. In the connect…
This first week of September 2021 my 245 stopped showing cadence while running, and run pace is sporadic. There was an update prior to this. Version 7.80
I have the same problem. However, I've found that turning the watch off and back on again just before I run resolves the problem. If I don't do this, then after 5 or 6 activities being logged, it stops…
Hi Lisa. I have the same problem. Did you find out what was wrong? Regards, Dave
Same, though seems intermittent - 2 runs last week with no cadence, then a run yesterday with cadence but todays run no cadence again. Also getting intermittent drop outs on pace. Very odd! The change log for 7.2 does mention some tinkering with cadence so perhaps this has thrown things out of whack.
This after assuming they tested this in-house and after a huge beta session. For me Garmin has been a huge QA disappointment. Also communication is nowhere. I have zero faith anybody from their dev team reads this forum as I never read anything from them.
Did you all try to factory reset your watches?

Cheers for the suggestion. I did a reset (which failed and went into a loading loop but was able to perform a hard reset and get it back working) which has seemed to solved the issue for me (at least for the last couple of runs).
