Forerunner 245 Series Updates SW 4.40 is now live

These updates can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile (pending rollout). 

Software Version 4.40:  

  • Improvements to GPS
  • Fixed training modes (workouts, intervals, set a target, etc.) in Virtual Running to allow connection to phone app
  • Changed filtering of activities for Race an Activity. List of activities is now narrowed to those within the same general sport type.
  • Several improvements to Breathwork
  • Fixed an issue where the device would always display the 'Updating' spinner when changing an alarm
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements
  • Improvements to music playback/sync/providers 245M Only
  • Updated audio prompts. New prompts include high/low alerts. 245M Only
  • Several Wi-Fi related improvements 245M Only

    циферблат - это морда лица идущая с часами. а слив батареи ; 5 мая - 5%, 6 мая - 6%, 7 мая - 5%. Постоянно включен пульс, все остальное отключено ( The dial is the face of the face walking with a watch. and drain the battery; May 5 - 5%, May 6 - 6%, May 7 - 5%. The pulse is constantly on, everything else is off )

    Sorry if I seem ignorant, but where do you get those stats? And I don't quite understand what you meant by "the face of the face walking with a watch"; how do I find it?

    I have setup Backlight During Activity - Keys and alerts - On; Gesture - On; Timeout - 8 seconds. When I start a Walk backlight is on until I stop activity. If I walk for an hour the backlight is on during one hour, hence battery drains. FR245 with SW 4.40 Never happened before. I'd be grateful if you could help me fix this. Everything else seems ok.

    I have the same issue on my FR245M, audio prompts are gone :-(

    Any news on when the issues with WIFI connection over a WP2 secured network will be addressed? Pretty damn frustrating to need to change my security settings to none each time I want to download a new podcast.

    I can confirm the same issue. My pulse drops few times to ~70-72 for a short bit for a few times. New 245M 4.40, new HRM-Run with fresh battery. 

    Resetting to defaults didn't help, trying with Beta FW 4.41 same thing.

    The store that sold me device confirmed they have had several similar complaints recently.

    I don't know what I have done but changing backlight settings for a day and setting them back as they were in the first place has led to fix the problem. Now it works as it should.

    Why so many time between updates when we are waiting a fix to correct autonomy.

    What's the good firmware version before 4.40, ->> 4.30?

    I'm very interesting to downgrade manually to this version (despite the full data lost)

    Someone have the file to restore manually via USB ?

    I'm very tired to charge battery each 3 days instead of 5. 

    I removed from my main screen: second, live HR, what's the next ? shutdown the garmin245 except for running.

    I'm not happy !

    Not for Spotify. I have same sync eror after 10 songs.
