White spot on Garmin Forerunner 245

I bought my Forerunner 245 (no music) in May of this year and have been really happy with the product. However, a big white spot appeared recently and it has not gone away after about 5 days. The spot is even there when the watch is turned off. Is there anything I can do about this?

    I had to beg them to send me a brand new, not refurbished device, but in doing so I had to forgo any warranties on the new one—if this one develops a problem, currently ,it’s ok for the pixels, BUT my heart rate and pulse ox suck —this will be my LAST Garmin

    New or refurbished? My watch was only 9 months when it developed issues and they only offered a refurbished device—that is until I kept pushing them that that was NOT acceptable—they did finally Shruguiesce—BUT, I had to forgo the warranty on the new one—heart rate feature doesn’t measure accurately, same goes for the pulse ox—never had the issue with my old one—just the pixels issues—maybe tShrugransomware attack on Garmin in July thorough they data off Shrug♀️

    Same here. 645 music bought in April 2018 now has the white spot. Disappointing as I've been really impressed with the watch and been convincing friends to buy one as well as hoping to upgrade at some point. Think I will switch brands after this experience.

  • Thanks for posting and sharing your experience. My 6 month old 245 has developed a white spot and I cannot believe that a company will only provide a new replacement IF they forgo the warranty. I find that unbelievable. Agree, I wont buy Garmin again.

    Did you get an exchange even after the warranty period?

    is it possible to get an exchange if the warranty period has passed? apparently there's a problem with the product and those dots tend to appear right after the warranty expires

    I did—but I had to go around in circles to get it—they wanted to send me a refurbished watch but I fought with them and got a new in the box product. However, Garmin told me I will not get a warranty on the one they sent. Well, if this happens  again, I’ll say good bye yo Garmin, after 12 years a 5 devices.

    Same problem.   Very disappointing.  I'm in Dakar .  Hope there's a way to get a replacement.
